Hi friend,
Yes, there’s good news!
In my last newsletter, I described where my mind was at. Turns out I was just stressed and needed to step away a little and had major decisions ahead of me to make. I did step away, and my thoughts are clearer.
Things fall apart only to align 🦋
I thought about what I would write to you this week, and yeah, I wanted to update you about my internship only to be met with incredibly great news last Thursday.
Stick with it!
I wanted to tell you how much growth can happen when you stick to something. Recently, I’ve been grateful that I can write to you— documenting all these moments.
Remember how lost I felt when my internship started, how imposter syndrome was after my life, and I thought I wouldn't get it! Read it here if you missed it.
It definitely got better.
I understood the product more, the target customers, and the people I work with — this made 90% of the anxiety go away.
I have a better work system— materials to work with (so I don’t start creating resources from scratch).
I get work done faster.
I love my team and they value me too— that’s warm and uplighting.
I am more confident with the work I put out and more than ever, I am encouraged to keep learning—though I still struggle with making time for it.
Pause and Reflect
I really had the time to look over my goals and why I set them in the first place and I want to keep at them: I am grateful for where I am now and very hopeful about where I am going. There are still some pending decisions I need to sort out, but God will give me the wisdom and strength to navigate it!
Take Home
I think it does get better with time. Observing my growth curve with my internship from a third eye is helping me learn that no matter how difficult and chaotic something is when you start if you keep showing up, IT GETS BETTER!
In summary, I will no longer avoid chess— because it makes me feel dumb 😂
Good news!
I got a message from the CEO sayinggggg:
“So far you’ve been great, we can move to full-time from December onward”.
My internship was an amazing success.
He also said: “I’m in big luck since I found you”.
P.S. I sent the first message, and I also requested the role when I first reached out on Twitter. Full story here. It was this same meeting I missed, cause I was sleeping 😂 The full story here
Now, let’s see how this journey turns out! 🦄
I got both my jobs in an attempt to help people.

👩🏽💻 Events
I was supposed to attend a photography and art event last Sunday, but the moment I arrived my shoe went bad and I asked my bolt driver to take me back home— it was sad🥲
DevFest will be happening this Saturday
Tech Her Fest will be happening the following Saturday.
