Hey friends!
It completely skipped my mind that I didn’t send a newsletter last week.
It’s funny to me, I was so wrapped up in the moment that I completely forgot.
Last week Saturday my cousin got married, and I was the bride’s maid. It was lovely but there and then I made a list of everything I would remove from my wedding.
Do you know that at some point I went inside a room and fell asleep?
My other cousin said I was unbelievable and he’s sure at my wedding I’ll be like, ‘Okay guys, I’ll just go nap and will be right back, have fun’.
He didn’t lie 😂
Winning with your tasks
I know some of us here are working while some are studying, regardless of what point you are, you’ll find yourself in a new place where you’re still required to perform excellently.
When you don’t fully understand how things work, yet you’re required to perform well. It can be draining but here’s what has helped me.
I expressed how I felt to the people I work with especially my friends. I didn’t leave it in my chest and their words encouraged me to just keep showing up.
I stopped over thinking and started creating. They’ll correct you and you’ll learn faster than if you wait to get it all right first.
I frequently asked for feedback and made a Notion page to record them.
My friend advised me to ask questions without fear or shame.
I am happy to announce that I’m starting to be confident again with the work I put out in my workplace. I’m not there yet but I’m way better than I was last month, and we’re starting to see results 🌻
Choose your sidekick
So, I’ve made a few changes that have helped with my energy level.
I have a water bottle and that’s what I call my sidekick. Having a bottle with metrics helps me stay hydrated. Every time I take a sip it’s like I take a short break overall.
I’ve been more consistent with my exercise routine and it’s significantly increased my energy level.
I realized that some things just have to be cut down so I had to sacrifice my commitment to working on my LinkedIn and Twitter until I'm more settled.
My sleep habit is still a mess but I have to keep going 🌚
🦄 Progress so far
I have a better attitude to work and my speed with tasks is improving.
I have started taking baby steps towards my learning goal. I’ve taken two classes since this month. It’s possible cause I try to wake up around 6:30 a.m. even when I sleep late (1 or 2 a.m.)
👩🏽💻Resources/Events
This month I will be hosting another 20-day LinkedIn challenge. I don’t know how I’ll pull it off cause my time is wrapped around my neck 😂
If you want to join the challenge let me know in the comment.
Thank you for reading!

Lol, you look wonderful in your bridesmaids' outfit, although i'm not seeing most of it. And i'm sure it was fun albeit stressful... right? This is me assuming. Lol. And yes i thought it was just me, i had to sacrifice my engagement on LinkedIn and Twitter for my work... I just recently got job and a gig so it's been keeping me less on social media and my sleep hours are still a work in progress and i'm realizing there's still so much to learn and i barely have the time with school and exams coming up... it almost feels like i'm being ambushed but i'm learning to be more strict with my time and scarce when my presence isn't necessarily needed. This is me saying Hi and i can relate and also keeping you updated because, Honestly it's been a while Destiny 😊
